Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Division of Regulatory Services seeks a Seed Analyst. The Regulatory Services division works to ensure regulation of quality of animal feed, fertilizer, seed, and raw milk so that Kentucky consumers have access to superior agricultural products. The Seed Analyst plays a key role as part of this team. The position will conduct highly specialized and technical laboratory analytical procedures on seed samples. Primary emphasis will be on purity and noxious information for service and official samples in a timely and accurate manner following AOSA guidelines. Maintaining confidentially of sample results & adherence to laboratory safety standards are required. Additional responsibilities include monitoring of lab equipment, sample filing, sample destruction, monitoring & ordering lab supplies & maintain a clean and orderly laboratory working area. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Basic keyboarding for database (i.e. Excel, Access) entry. Manual dexterity acceptable vision are critical.

Preferred Education/Experience
AOSA/SCST in purity or viability testing preferred.
