Association of Official Seed Analysts.

The Association of Official Seed Analyst (AOSA) is an organization of member laboratories dedicated to education and research, including state, federal, and university laboratories from the United States and Canada.

AOSA formally organized in Washington D.C. in 1908, developing rules and procedures for seed testing and the standardization of their interpretation (in conjunction with the Federal Seed Act)

Society of Commercial Seed Technologists.

The Society of Commercial Seed Technologists (SCST) is an organization of professional seed technologists dedicated to research, proficiency and improvement in seed testing from private, and company laboratories across the United States and Canada.

SCST originated in 1922, largely as a liaison between The Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA) and The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA).

Holiday Inn Rapid City Downtown – Convention Center, 505 North Fifth St., Rapid City, SD 57701

Whether you were in-person this year or virtual, please take a couple of minutes to complete the following Annual Meeting survey. Your feedback will directly impact how we approach meeting logistics in the years to come.

An added bonus—once submissions have been collected, one individual will be selected randomly to receive $100 off their 2024 meeting registration.

The AOSA-SCST Purity Subcommittee is looking to expand its membership!

Most communications will be via email or Zoom, and attendance at the annual meeting is not required. The subcommittee is responsible for discussing purity testing issues, seed identification assistance, and developing rule proposals for improving seed quality testing. Please reach out to the subcommittee chairs with any questions and if you would like to join.
