The Association of Official Seed Analyst (AOSA) is an organization of member laboratories dedicated to education and research, including state, federal, and university laboratories from the United States and Canada.
AOSA formally organized in Washington D.C. in 1908, developing rules and procedures for seed testing and the standardization of their interpretation (in conjunction with the Federal Seed Act)
The Society of Commercial Seed Technologists (SCST) is an organization of professional seed technologists dedicated to research, proficiency and improvement in seed testing from private, and company laboratories across the United States and Canada.
SCST originated in 1922, largely as a liaison between The Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA) and The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA).

The deadline for our first proficiency test (PT) of 2024-2025 is right around the corner! With harvest season in full swing, don’t forget that the October 1st deadline for the Application of Test Tolerances written exercise is fast approaching.

The 2024 AOSA/SCST Annual Meeting in Rapid City, South Dakota was a resounding success! Our membership consists of remarkable, knowledgeable professionals, and we're truly grateful for the fantastic turnout we had. We hope to see you all again next year, June 7th-12th, in Missoula, MT!
Yesterday, the tour party at the AOSA/SCST Annual Meeting hopped aboard the historic 1880 Train from Hill City to Keystone, with Mt. Rushmore as our final destination! South Dakota sure doesn't disappoint.
The Seed Issues Forum/Poster Session provided the perfect backdrop for exchanging ideas and connecting with new colleagues. Thank you to all who were able to attend!
