Welcome to the AnalyzeSeeds Site!

The USDA Seed Regulatory and Testing Division is offering two seed schools this year in Gastonia, NC.

The first is May 28 – 30 and is tailored to newer analysts.  It will cover the basics of seed testing, including dividing, blowing, purity testing, germination planting and evaluation, TZ testing, and calculations.  Some seed ID will also be included.

The second school is from August 11-13, followed by the purity exam on August 14 and the germination exam on August 15.  The second school is designed for analysts preparing to take the exam, and will focus heavily on seed ID.

Both schools are open to analysts of any experience level, but priority for the August school will be given to those taking the exams.  The cost for either school is $300 for analysts at private labs.  Due to the cooperative agreement between the USDA and the States, the schools are free for State employees.
