AOSA Purpose

Shall prepare a report of changes in seed laws and regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, agricultural departments of the states in the United States and to cooperate with the Legislative Committee of the American Seed Trade Association on any actions that may be taken on legislative matters.

SCST Purpose

1.To keep the Society advised of new and/or pending legislation, and any regulations issued by State or Federal agencies;

2. To cooperate with the Legislative Committee of the American Seed Trade Association on any action to be taken in legislative matters, and report to the Executive Board and/or the Society for consideration and action.

The purpose of this committee is to inform SCST members of any changes that have been proposed or implemented to state or federal seed laws and regulations.  A report is provided each year and published in the Annual Meeting Proceedings, reports can be downloaded from the page.
